Johann Urb was born in Tallinn, Estonia, on 24 January 1977 into the family of Tarmo and Maris. When Johann was 10, he moved to Finland with his mother and her new husband. They lived in several small towns until they finally settled in Tampere. At the age of 17 Johann moved to his father's in New York, where he soon started a modeling career. In 2001, he landed a small part in the movie Zoolander (2001). After that, he did a role in the short movie Fear of Feathers (2003) and appeared in one episode of CSI: Miami (2002). At the moment, Johann has two romantic comedies in work.- Russian-Estonian actor Kirill Käro is active in Eastern Europe, especially in Russia, Ukraine and Estonia. He became widely known for the Ukrainian detective series Sniffer (2013). Kirill Käro plays a man, who has an unusually sensitive sense of smell that allows him to investigate crimes by detecting and distinguishing trace amounts of various substances.
At the end of 2010, at the peak of the Netflix trend, Kirill Käro played in two genre Russian TV series, that were watched by the whole world. The first show is android thriller series Better Than Us (2018), about a world where androids serve humans in various positions, even replacing them in many menial jobs. The second show is the post-apocalyptic thriller series To the Lake (2019) about the beginning of a terrible epidemic, where two families unite to survive in a new world, which coincided with the release date of the series in the year of isolation from Covid-19.
Kirill Käro's most successful project in his homeland, Estonia, is a sports biographical drama The Fencer (2015) about an Estonian fencer Endel Nelis, where Käro played a notable supporting role, a friend of Endel. The film was nominated for the Golden Globe award in the Best Foreign Language Film category as a Finnish-German-Estonian co-production. - Carmen Kass is best known for her work as a Victoria's Secrets lingerie model and as a international fashion model. She appeared in five Victoria's Secret Fashion shows in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2008. Elmo Nüganen, the Tallinn City Theatre's artistic director, is one of the most esteemed stage directors in Estonia. He is known mostly for his brilliant versions of classical plays. His productions (W. Shakespeare "Romeo And Juliet", A. Dumas "The Three Musketeers", A. Tchekhov "Pianola or The Mechanical Piano" ("Platonov"), F. Dostoievsky "Crime And Punishment", W. Estonian film director, screenwriter, media executive and columnist Ilmar Raag was born in Kuressaare, Estonia. He grew up in Kuressaare and also graduated high school there. In 1997 he graduated University of Tartu. 1996-1998 he was hosting a film news program on Estonian National Television. 1999 he received M.A. degree in screen writing from Ohio University. After that he find himself working in TV management and in 2002-2005 he served as CEO of Estonian National Television (ETV). In 2005 he directed television movie August 1991 (2005) and also wrote screenplay for another TV movie. In 2007 Raag made his feature film debut with critically acclaimed film The Class (2007). In 2008 he adapted screenplay from a Sass Henno's novel for I Was Here (2008).
In 2009-2010, Estonian Television decided to produce a spin off series to "Klass". Raag didn't write the script, but he shot two episodes of the series. In 2011 he shot a film in France under the umbrella of TS Production - "Une Estonienne à Paris" with Jeanne Moreau as leading lady. The film was released a year later.- Director

Silvi Vrait is a Soviet and Estonian singer.
Born in Kehra in 1951, Vrait graduated from the Kehra Music School in 1968 on piano. In 1974 she graduated from the Tartu University with a degree in English philology. From 1994, she taught English in a secondary school in Tallinn. Vrait coached vocalists at the Georg Ots Music School in Tallinn.
Silvi Vrait first appeared on stage in 1972, when she performed in a TV shows 'Kaks takti ette' and 'Käokava'. From 1976 to 1983 she was active in theatre Vanemuine in Tartu. Her style varies from jazz to country and from rock to folk. In the late 1980s, she was known for two recordings, "Väikene rahvas, väikene maa" (Small Nation, Tiny Country) and "Ei ole üksi ükski maa" (No Land is Alone).
She appeared in musicals and operas, such as Porgy and Bess (Bess, 1985), The King and I (Lady Thiang, 1998), Zorba (Leader, 2000), Gypsy (Rose, 2001), Chicago (Mama Morton, 2004) and The Sound of Music (Mother Abbess, 2010), Cabaret (Fräulein Schneider, 2012).
In 1994, Vrait was the representative of Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest, held in Dublin that year. Andrey Batt was born on august 6, 1985 in Tallinn, Estonia. At the age of three, Andrey and his family moved to Moscow, Russia. Even before Andrey started the first grade, he was engaged in drawing.
In 1992, Andrey went to the High School in Moscow that specialized in English Arts and taught English as the primary language. At the young age of nine, he already began acting in local school performances.
At the age of eleven, Andrey started playing basketball for the High School's team. He repeatedly became a champion at the Moscow local and regional championships. While attending school, Andrey became involved in filmmaking and film production. After school graduation, in 2004 Andrey Batt became a director of several independent projects and music videos. He also took on musical composition and songwriting for several American, African and Portuguese artists.
In 2010 Andrey moved to Los Angeles, where he studied acting, filmmaking & film production. Year later, he appeared in a several American TV shows like Justified (2010) in which he starred opposite of Timothy Olyphant and The Walking Dead (2010). After this Andrey gained worldwide reputation among television viewers.
In 2011 Andrey was one of the main contender for a role of a Russian baseball player Ivan Dochenko in a popular American comedy TV show Eastbound & Down (2009) on HBO. Unfortunately for Andrey, the role went to American actor Ike Barinholtz.
While appearing on television, Andrey also started segueing into film roles. He filmed in the Japanese independent film Fighting Spirit, but the movie has not been released yet.- Actress

- Jaak Lipso is a Soviet and Estonian basketball player. World champion (1967), three-time European champion (1963, 1965, 1967), silver (1964) and bronze (1968) medalist of the Summer Olympic Games. Honored Master of Sports of the USSR.
Lipso was born in Tallin, Soviet Union. As a child, he was fond of many sports at the same time: Swimming, athletics, tennis, and horseback riding. Participated in numerous competitions and won prizes. At the age of 16, he began attending basketball training, eventually choosing this particular game.
In SKA (Riga) Lipso won his first medal of the USSR championship in 1961, but stayed there for a short time, soon moving to Moscow. In 1962-1969 he was a player of BC CSKA (Moscow). In 1963, he made his debut as part of the USSR national team at the European Championships in Wroclaw, Poland, where he became the champion. In the same year, as part of the Moscow men's team, he became the winner of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR. In 1966 he was recognized as the best center of the USSR. In 1967 he became the winner of the European Championship and the World Championship.
Lipso was distinguished by special plasticity, beauty of movement. Spectators specially went to see him.

Susanna Brisk was born in Estonia in the former Soviet Union, and moved to Australia with her family at the age of 4. She started modeling at the age of 16, performing stand-up comedy at the age of 17 and did her first televised stand-up spot live on Australian national television at the age of 19. Over the next four years, Brisk performed stand-up and sketch comedy on every Australian television network including The Australian Comedians in Concert (twice) at the Melbourne Concert Hall in front of 2,500 people. In addition, she wrote and performed characters for FOX Breakfast Radio, was featured in many national TV commercials and wrote, produced and performed numerous shows.
Brisk produced and performed her one-woman show Megababe, a send-up of models and the fashion industry, when she was twenty, as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. The show took place at the Universal Theatre, using a chorus of models which Brisk choreographed, and which attracted national publicity on television, radio and print media. Her next multi-character show, JAP - Jewish Australian Princess, sold out the season in its first week and gained excellent reviews. In 1997, Susanna headed to New York City to study at the Stella Adler Conservatory for the summer. Immediately, she landed a role in the indie feature Some Fish Can Fly (1999) and began performing extensively on the new York stand-up circuit. In New York, she booked lead roles in NYU films, several indie shorts, the interactive CD-Rom The 24-7 and performed Off-Broadway in "The Cleansing of George Cuthbert". She shot two pilots for VH-1 (Couch Potato and Rock n' Roll Stand-Up) and became a stand-up regular at the Comic Strip, Stand-Up New York, the New York Comedy Club and Caroline's NYC, as well as downtown venues such as Surf Reality and Collective Unconscious.
In 1999, Brisk returned to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival with JAP 2. The season involved twenty-four shows in twenty-five days in Melbourne, with two additional sold-out shows at a 350-seat venue in Sydney. Brisk returned to NYC to produce and perform JAP - Princess in the City for a four-month season to packed houses at The Duplex in historic Greenwich Village. She played 17 different characters and the piano, received a rave review in Time Out New York and was invited to perform the show at the HBO Workspace in LA. Once in Los Angeles, she booked a guest principal role on JAG, and hosted The Kisser, the first pilot for POP.com for Dreamworks/Imagine.
She performs stand-up regularly at the Improv, the Comedy Store, Dublin's and the Laugh Factory. Stand-up gigs include her headlining tour with the Star Spangled Girls of US Military Bases in the Balkans, including Bosnia, Hungary, Macedonia, Sarajevo and Kosovo and opening for international acts at The Riviera in Los Vegas. She recently screened "Whim", a short film which she wrote, produced, directed and starred in. She has also produced and performed a workshop reading of a new show Waiting to Breed, at the Larry Moss Studio.
In 2002 Susanna became part of The Actors' Gang theater company in Hollywood, taking part over many months in Commedia del Arte workshops with Tim Robbins and other veteran Gang members and playing the piano in the late night show "Alagazam."
Brisk's current one woman show, "Mamafied," played at Edgemar Center for The Arts and was directed by Michelle Danner. After stellar reviews, it went to Melbourne's Comedy Festival for seventeen shows in 2009. Brisk developed "Mamafied," into a memoir.
